Terms and Conditions

Last updated: please refer to the date shown when you accessed this page.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Zofivu website and mobile application, which helps families manage teenagers' pocket money. By creating an account, placing an order or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before you continue.

1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

The services are provided by Zofivu ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at:

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are written with regard to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

2. Who May Use the Service

The account holder must be an adult aged 18 or over, such as a parent or guardian, who is legally able to enter into a binding contract. Teenagers may use the application only under the supervision and responsibility of the adult account holder. By registering, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you will keep your login details secure.

3. Placing an Order and Confirmation

You place an order by following the steps on our website or in the application: selecting a plan or feature, reviewing the details shown, and confirming your purchase. Before you confirm, you will be able to check and correct any errors in your order.

  1. Your submission of an order is an offer to buy from us.
  2. We will send an email acknowledging receipt of your order. This is not yet acceptance.
  3. The contract between you and Zofivu is formed when we send you a confirmation message and your access to the service is activated.

We may decline an order, for example where payment cannot be verified or where we suspect misuse of the service. If we decline, we will tell you and refund any amount already taken.

4. Prices, Payment and What Is Included

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. The price shown at the time you confirm your order is the price you pay. The description of each plan on our website sets out what is included, such as the number of teenage profiles, allowance scheduling and spending overview features.

Pocket money held or tracked within the application is managed according to the instructions of the account holder. Please note that the service is a management and tracking tool; you remain responsible for the real-world transfer of funds to your teenager.

5. Cancellation and Your Right to Withdraw

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days of the contract being formed, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us at [email protected] or on +44 20 7573 4400 with your name and order details.

If you ask us to start the service during the 14-day period, you agree that you will pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the point you notify us of cancellation. Once the service has been fully provided, the right to cancel no longer applies. We will refund any amount due within 14 days of receiving your cancellation, using the same payment method you used.

You may also end a subscription at any time, to take effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or end your account if you materially breach these Terms, and we will explain our reasons.

6. Complaints

If something goes wrong, please tell us so we can put it right. Send your complaint to [email protected] or write to us at 91 Northcote Road, London, N5 2ZD. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to give you a full response within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may consider an alternative dispute resolution provider, and you keep your statutory rights to go to court.

7. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:

8. Personal Data and Cookies

We handle personal data in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where we process personal data, we act as the data controller. You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict or object to processing, and receive a copy of it in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection.

Our website sets only one cookie, named cookie_pref. It records your cookie consent choice and is stored for one year. We do not run analytics on this site. Advertising measurement operates only after you have given consent, and only on the order confirmation page.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts or systems, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. All content, design and software in the service remain our property or that of our licensors, and you receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use them for their intended purpose.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law or in our services. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order. For ongoing subscriptions, we will give you reasonable notice of material changes and you may cancel if you do not accept them.

11. General

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms, together with your order confirmation, form the entire agreement between you and Zofivu. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

12. Contact

For any question about these Terms, contact Zofivu at [email protected], by telephone on +44 20 7573 4400, or by post at 91 Northcote Road, London, N5 2ZD.
